I'm debating whether to get it, because I know I'm going to have a pretty hard year with Organic Chemistry and Honors English, and it isn't coming out until after school has started, but it looks so fricken SWEET!
The little bit I saw with character customization ("Nemesis" video) makes it look like I will spend (oh yes, quite literally) DAYS in the character creator making my countless number of alt's perfect.
Is anyone else going to invest in Champions?

Customization IS on a whole new level, if COH had half of what they added, they could double their income, and player count. But outside of the creator, it looses all it's fun, with choppy repetitive, ugly animations. A total lack of repeatable fun, some tasks are so laborious you just never want to go through them again. I have played the tutorial for a dozen and a half times, in so many incarnations of LJ as a martial artist, as a fire blaster, as a plain power tank, an armored power tank... and while she looks just AMAZING.
I am bored to tears with her, thinking, OMG, how am I gonna live through this to their level cap. When they had the instant lvl 33 build, it was at least more fun to test it. Now it's in snailsville, everyone was wiped, and everything had to be restarted.
The zones are great, the concepts okay, but how did they mess it all up. Champions isn't an exploration game, it's not about wishing someone would come along and give your hero something to do. Sure there are mobs, but they built grinding into this game with a capital G.
If I were you I would play a 2 week trial, and the go back to COH for i15 and i16, both of which will be out before this game hits stores. At least I hope so, even AOC, which had 3 years to get it right, needed another year. I hope Cryptic remembers that.
