I couldn't give half a hoot about whether a car is bad for the environment honestly, but it's absolutely ridiculous to have a tank on the road that gets 10 mpg, and gets away with it. It's highway robbery and it only encourages car companies to screw over the consumer even more.

Well eventually everyone will get tired of them and eventually get rid of them. Same gos for the really big trucks...

Well I respect your opinion, and while you do have the right to be happy and the right to own property, I have the opinion that, sometimes, we have to make sacrifices for the better of the world.. It's not just Hummers, but I feel we need to reduce the amount of inefficient cars on the road in order to prevent more crises related to climate.

Fair opinion, but do you realize how many trees need to be saved/replanted? Or how much a hybrid costs? Think about it, I'm green, too. But unless MILLIONS of people change, then the world is still up a creek. And to top it off, most hybrids are ugly anyway. Also, if, and only IF you could shut down cities like NYC and Toyoko to ALL traffic, you might stand a decent chance. Those who want to save the world to those who don't is like 1:100. Maybe 1:1000. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying it might be a little too late.

Not trying to be rude at all here:

But small car's just don't work for some people. In my case I have a fear of being in small cars for many reasons, I live on a farm and SUV's and trucks are just love.

My Caddy is the best thing that's happened to me ever as of now, I would have not had the chance to travel many places in our older car.

I think think some of the civilan hummers look a bit silly but some are really beautiful. I have always wanted one of the military surplus(sp) ones some dude down the road has one

I can understand people wanting to use small cars and I respect them for that.

Just wanted to give my opinion.
